LONDON' over 'GUN MAKERS TO HIS MAJESTY' at the breech, applied small brass crescent fore-sight, platinum band at the breech, standing notch rear-sight to the trophy engraved top-tang, flat slightly curved bevel-edged lock signed 'H.W. MORTIMER' (badly rubbed), walnut half-stock with chequered bag-shaped butt and spirally carved pommel, set trigger, spurred trigger guard bow and white metal fore-end fittings, complete with a brass tipped mahogany ramrod
